    Free Calls.

    Yeah. I’ll bet they are.

We got to catch the last game of the summer season of little league baseball this evening. The boys of some friends of ours were both in games tonight for their respective teams, both games for the championship. It was a nice night for baseball, a cool summer evening with a nice breeze to keep the mosquitos at bay. The kind of summer night you hope for, the kind that reminds you of summer nights past. It had an old-time feel to it, a throwback to a time in America when maybe life was a little simpler than it is now.

And to top it all off, both teams won.

Finally watched this with my ten year old tonight. She loved it. Cause, you know, it’s Indy.

They only bloom one day a year, but they’re always spectacular when they do. Our garden gets almost no sun, and the day lilies are one of the only flowers that grow in the shade.

My first visit to the pool this summer. An evening visit, nice and breezy, not crowded at all. I didn’t even have to get in, it was just nice to sit by the edge and chill. Not nearly enough chilling lately…

This one is kind of an abstract photo. While sitting at a stop light, a flatbed trailer pulled up next to me, hauling a small bulldozer. Because I was so close, a took a couple of pictures of the machinery of the bulldozer. By itself it was okay, but when I started playing around with deep contrasts using black and white processing, the picture started to get interesting to me.

It’s been kinda dry up here in the Northeast. We’re running a bit of a drought. The grass has turned to straw. This path is is part of the corporate complex where I work. This pic is not color enhanced. The grass really is that color. Hoping we get some measurable rain soon. A summer thunderstorm just won’t cut it.
