It’s been pretty warm here in New England the last few days, and wet. It poured for two days straight. So when the sun this morning hit the moisture on the ground in forty degree temps, fog ensued.

I love how this one turned out. This is simply a shot of some trees along a path where I work, with the sun partially obscured by one of them. What makes this one different is that I used my sunglasses as a filter. Literally, just holding up my sunglasses in front of the iPhone camera lens and “snap”. The result is a strangely lit, almost ghost-like quality to the trees. Completely unedited or post-processed. -
Out for a walk earlier this afternoon. The sun was bright and beautiful through the trees. Sometimes you just need a picture of trees.This picture is unfiltered, just cropped a little to get the street out of it.

The day after the snow storm was a bright, beautiful day. The snow still on the trees contrasting with the blue sky was pretty spectacular. I took this with ProCam and it is untouched by post-processing.

What do you get when there’s a snow storm? A bunch of picture of snow. I’ll have a couple over the next few days, but I won’t drag it out too long, I promise.I snapped this one just as the sun finally decided to show itself after the storm. It was late in the day, and the light was touching the trees in the background.
To give it an even more ethereal look, I imported the picture into Hipstamatic and applied a Anne-Marie lens and Mount Royal film, which blurred the edges of the picture nicely, drawing attention to the sun on the tops of the trees in the background.

I love clouds. Love em. For me, for reasons I’ve not been interested in understanding, clouds, and the sky itself, fascinate me utterly.This is what the sky looked like over my office yesterday when I went out to walk off lunch. This is an unfiltered image.
