If you live in a primary state today, make sure you get out to vote. There’s still time. I voted this morning with my older daughter in tow. She’s in middle school and is starting to ask interesting questions about how the whole political system works. (And I’m trying not to be jaded and simply say “It doesn’t.”) So today seemed to be a good day to demonstrate how primary voting works. For example, did you know, in Massachusetts, if you’re affiliated with a party, you can only vote within that party? Or that, if you’re unaffiliated, you can vote in either? I’m happy to say my daughter knows this now. And it was fun to take her and show her how the process works.
