It’s been a week and a half since I’ve posted a “daily” photo. Sorry for the delay, school has started to again and we’re all getting back into the swing of things. So, as I get the photo mojo back, let’s start with a nice simple sunset to kick off the weekend. -
Night one of vacation. Nothing like a beach sunset. I’ve arrived at my happy place. -
The top of this tree used to be full of leaves. Then the gypsy moths invaded. Now it’s nearly bare. -
There was a pretty awesome sunset over Lincoln Plaza this evening, which is saying a lot if you know Lincoln Plaza. -

It was a pretty windy day today, gray and overcast. But it cleared out a bit this evening, and the clouds came racing across sky, painted pink by the setting sun.It was a very lovely evening. Which was nice, cause it’s gonna snow 2-4 inches on Sunday.
I wish I were kidding.

This is one of the main roads that runs through my town, as well as many others. This was taken in the first town to our north/northwest.Yes, I actually stepped in the middle of the street for this picture. No, there were no cars coming. Gives you an idea of how much traffic there isn’t out where I live.
I really do like the quasi-rural region where I live.

I went out for a run Monday evening. It was early enough that there was still plenty of light when I left. But night falls pretty quickly in New England in the winter. By the time I was finishing up, the lights had all come on and the sun was almost completely set.I took this picture as I was walking off the run. Something about the streetlight and the light it cast struck me. The streetlight was a weird amber color, while behind it the sky changed from light blue to deep blue behind the dark trees.
Composition in the picture is pretty unremarkable. What drew me was entirely the range of colors and shadows.

I didn’t get out much today. It was a “clean the house” kind of day, and I didn’t think pictures of used Swiffer sheets would be all that compelling. So, in lieu of something interesting, it’ll just have to be something pretty. Here’s a picture of the sunset, as seen through the trees outside my front door.See you tomorrow.
